Community Service

Corporate Giving
News America Marketing® and our employees are committed to making a positive impact on the world. We believe that corporations have the responsibility to give back to the community and assist those in need. At the corporate level, we support a number of charities including:

  • Revlon Run/Walk for Women
  • New York Cares
  • Operation Backpack
  • City Harvest and Skip Lunch Fight Hunger
  • Variety – The Children’s Charity
  • Toys for Tots
  • City of Hope

Recent years have also seen many natural disasters strike communities in the U.S. and abroad. As part of News Corporation, we have supplied financial support to organizations providing aid and relief on the ground.

Employee Volunteerism

News America Marketing encourages its employees to get involved with organizations and to help out in the relief efforts by volunteering their time and talents. Many of our employees volunteer in their local communities. Whether it be raising money or giving their time, News America Marketing employees are actively engaged in creating a better world for tomorrow.

Giving the Gift of Sight

Many of us take for granted the ability to read the chalkboard or see the newspaper. Imagine however, if you could not do these things and the limitations that would put on your ability to do well in school or hold a job.

In May 2008, VP, Group Sales Manager, Jackie Molligo traveled to Cambodia as a volunteer on a two-week mission with Give the Gift of Sight, a Luxottica Group Foundation that provides free vision care and eyewear to underprivileged individuals in developing countries around the world. With the assistance of her colleagues at News America Marketing, Jackie collected over 1,700 pairs of discarded and unused prescription glasses that were repurposed during the mission. During her time in Cambodia, the volunteers, made up of individuals from around the globe, helped almost 18,000 Cambodians receive eye examinations and prescription glasses that literally gave them the “gift of sight”.
