New General Sales Manager at News America Marketing 

 

Michael Pollack Promoted to General Sales Manage, Pittsburgh Office

 

New York, NY (July 16, 2007) – News America Marketing, a division of News Corporation (NYSE: NWS), today announced that Michael Pollack has been promoted to General Sales Manager, of their Pittsburgh office. In his new position, Mr. Pollack will direct the selling responsibilities at GlaxoSmithKline and will be overseeing an emerging sales territory. In addition, he will also be managing a team of ten.  Previously he had been a Group Sales Manager based in the New York office. 

 

News America Marketing’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Paul Carlucci said, “Michael’s noted success in the past five years has been a great benefit to our company. We are very confident that he will continue to achieve great things in his new role in Pittsburgh.”

 

Mr. Pollack, a Succasunna, New Jersey native, joined News America Marketing in January 2002, after graduating from Penn State University. As an Account Coordinator and Account Associate, Mr. Pollack handled a variety of packaged goods and retail clients. His achievement was quickly recognized and January of 2004 he was promoted to Account Director. Mr. Pollack re-located to the East Brunswick office, managing a territory that included clients such as Novartis, Hershey, Schering-Plough and Pinnacle Foods. He received a Rising Star Award in 2004 and shortly thereafter returned to New York as a Group Sales Manager to manage the Unilever Foods account and part of the Reckitt Benckiser business.

 

Mr. Pollack is looking forward to taking the reins in Pittsburgh. “I am eager to tackle the new responsibilities and challenges that await,” said Mr. Pollack.
